It is true to say that a calorie controlled diet is not necessarily a healthy one just as eating everything available isn’t either! You probably know someone who is quite happy to eat other people’s leftovers and always has seconds! A bit of cake here, some cookies there, leftover pie, as soon as you see it, you have to have it. Most people just don not consider what goes inside them and shy away from something like a health supplement for instance. Probiotics are also essential in the treatment and prevention of thrush, vaginal yeast infections, and athlete’s foot. Good health depends fundamentally upon the more than 400 types of friendly, symbiotic bacteria that inhabit the digestive tract.

Ok so it was a little graphic but it made the point because you are not doing yourself any good consuming everything you see that way. I can’t tell you how bad it is for your health to eat like that, so perhaps it’s time you took a step back and started to look after yourself by taking health supplements. Before you say no, just think about the benefits these supplements can bring to your long term health and happiness. The worst thing to happen when you mention the subject is that someone will tell you how awful they are but has never tried them to give that opinion.

So how come they are so sure they won’t like them then, it’s not as if they are being asked to eat a locust or a fly larva is it? Anyway I’m talking about powdered health supplements that are flavored with chocolate, strawberry and banana for example. I have been taking some form of food supplement for years now including a good multivitamin that contains more essential vitamins than I can remember. There is absolutely no reason why everyone couldn’t take a supplement of some kind everyday.

The other health supplement I enjoy is whey protein which I only started drinking a little while ago. Not only does it taste fantastic (try it yourself and see), it is full of good protein. It’s also easy and very convenient to drink, in the morning and at lunch time. The other benefit is that they add about 30 grams of protein which really benefits muscle growth.

Health supplements these days are just crammed with everything good for you that the body needs but doesn’t always get from food, but nothing that is bad for you. The things you don’t want are cholesterol, sugar, saturated fat and salt, we all get enough of these things as it is. Well I suggest you go take a look on the internet and see just how beneficial these health supplements are for you.
